My calves have finally recovered, not sure how much is due to time, generous slathered iceyhot, the new spiked roller I got or the gentle stretching at Yoga last night. But I feel I can face the gym and do some Cardio today.
Last night was fun. My girl Shecky and I went to a Yoga based Bellydance class that’s running this month.
Still not sure how I feel about Yoga, I enjoy the stretching but it reminds me how little control over my body I actually have. The more difficult poses I have less trouble with, but sometimes I struggle and shake with the simple ones.
The belly dancing side … Well I just look plain ridiculous! But that’s okay and rather funny as everyone is in the same boat.
It’s so bloody cold here this morning…
That’s in Celsius btw
Minus fucking twelve!!!! Remind me why I’m living here and didn’t find a nice Texan man instead?
I mean just look ….
That’s the door leading out of the bedroom onto my little patio!
I did a little shopping on Saturday (to get the IceyHot cream) and “accidentally” stumbled into Ulta (makeup and beauty supplies store) on the way home.
Typically nothing on my make up shopping list I wanted was in stock (NYX Taupe Blush, Becca Opal highlighter or Too Face glitter glue) but that didn’t stop me wandering around and picking up some basics. Ended up with …
* Anastasia Brow Wiz in Taupe
* Two Japonesque 140 eye make up brushes
* some French Tip Stickers from Red Carpet Manicures (I bought it and Filming in Aspen)
* Sally Hansen Wax Strips
* Cetaphil Cleansing Cloths
* Montagne Jeunesse Creamy Coconut face masks
* Japonesque solid brush cleaner
I have to say I am in awe of the Japonesque brush cleaner … Best brush cleaner product I’ve used so far! Removed old stains from my natural fiber brushes, was easy to use, hardly any scent – all in all a top product.
I actually don’t like Japonesque’s spray cleaner (the conditioning oils make it feel greasy), but I’ll be stocking up on the solid brush cleaner. Going to be great for travel too!
And now …
I can not express my love for this little guy …
Don’t get me wrong, I love both my dogs equally, but they both have very different personalities.
Jake (the other one) is a “treat her mean, keep her keen” type of guy when it comes to me. He loves the ladies, but treats me like crap. However he is my little shadow and cries if I so much as go into the garage without him. I know he loves me, but isn’t willing to show it.
Oliver (above) has no shame in showing me how much he loves me!
I can’t sit down (chair, bed, toilet) without this bundle of love wanting to be on my lap. He lives for belly rubs and playing fetch. His only “quirk” is that he hates kids and barks at all strangers – esp if they get close to me.
Unfortunately for years we never had guests so I’ve never been able to train him out of this bad habit 🙁
Anyhow, as I wind down today’s post with crap I found on the internet …
Share a couple of beauty photographs that might inspire me one day …
And post a rather horrible selfie of myself …
I will go face a day where it’s -21c outside!
